Truls Oliver Julseth

Promo Specialist

Plymouth State University, New Hampshire

We helped Truls to the US in 2015 and he graduated in 2019 and then started working for CSUSA as a Sports Consultant. He is working primarily with men’s and women’s soccer, track & field and some of the American sports.

Truls Oliver Julseth started his college career at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, Massachusetts in 2015. In his first year as a college athlete, he ended up as Conference and Regional champion and as NJCAA National Tournament runner-up. He was named NJCAA First-Team All-Region. In his second year, he switched schools to Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, which is part of the Little East Conference (NCAA D3).

Truls played three seasons at PSU and received several individual awards along the way. During his time in Plymouth, Truls distinguished himself by founding several student companies and organizations and was awarded three times with the LEC All-Academic Honors as a student-athlete.

At Plymouth State University, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a concentration area within Strategic Management. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude and a GPA of 3.8.

Truls’s parent club is Trosvik IF, and he played almost all his youth at the Fredrikstad-based club. Truls decided very late in 2015 that he wanted to play and study in the United States. After contacting CSUSA, the wheels were set in motion and Truls ended up with a school and scholarship, 8 weeks before school started.

“The fact that I ended up as a student-athlete in the United States is only because of CSUSA. I was reasonably aware that I had to study in Norway like all my other friends, but that was before I contacted CSUSA. The 4 years I spent in the US are by far the best years I’ve experienced so far, and I have had the chance to experience more than many people experience in a lifetime. You become part of an immovable environment, and you get a perspective on life that is sure to change you. I got to experience 40/50 states, made friends from countless nations and got the chance to combine soccer and studies.” – Truls Oliver Julseth

FAVORITE MOMENT IN COLLEGE CAREER:

It’s easy to say every trophy from my freshman year, but my favorite memory is from a game my Jr-year. We played against our biggest rivals Keene State and beat them 2-1 in OT in front of 2500 people. That was a huge adrenalin-kick
