Team CSUSA

Marius college career started at Wilmington University in 2019. The school competes in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in NCAA D2. In his first season, Wilmington won the regular season and was the team with the most goals scored in all the NCAA divisions. In 2021 Marius played in all 21 games and got a spot on the Second Team All-CACC. Wilmington once again became regular season champions and played a national championship game for their first time at their homefield.  

In 2022 Marius was a part of the captain’s team at Wilmington and was leading the team to another good year, but without winning the conference championship once again. In December 2022 Marius completed his bachelor`s degree in business management with a GPA of 3.23 (highest GPA is 4). Marius then looked for new challenges and with the help from CSUSA / Keystone Sports Nordics he his new home for his master studies. Marius transferred to St. Bonaventure University who plays in the strong Atlantic-10 conference in NCAA D1. Marius appeared in all 17 games and helped the Bonnies to one of their best seasons in a very long time. In December 2023 Marius completed his master’s degree in business administration with a GPA of 3.80.   

KFUM Oslo was Marius childhood club in Norway. He played at KFUM from the early age of 6. Soccer became quickly Marius’ main sport, but he played a lot of sports growing up and got to use this experience during his high school years at Lamberseter Idrettslinja. Marius went through all the stages at KFUM, all the way up until the U19 and men’s reserve team. In 2019 Marius and KFUM got second place in Norway cup and just a few days later he traveled with a good friend and teammate of him from KFUM to start their college career at Wilmington University.  

Marius was introduced to the unique concept of attending as a student-athlete by his friend/teammate at the end of 2018 who got help from CSUSA / Keystone Sports Nordics. “Personally, I was looking for a life where I would be able to get a degree and still play soccer at a high level.

I also wanted to travel and see more of the world and meet new people and experience living in another country. Being a student athlete in USA gave me all this and it gave me a lot of growth and development as a player, but more importantly as a person. Through Keystone Sports Nordics, Wilmington University and St. Bonaventure University gave me the best and most transformative 4,5 years of my life.”

Favorite moment in college career: 

Winning against our biggest rival Post University in the regular season at our home field during our Homecoming game in 2022. A very tough game between two good teams where we won 2-0. As it was our homecoming game many of our alumni whom I played with in previous years came to support us and we had a big celebration.
