Scottish and Norwegian Sports Consultants join the team

By Team CSUSA
We continue to grow our team and we are delighted to announce our newest additions to CSUSA. David Welsh from Edinburgh, Scotland, and Kristine Kloda from Fredrikstad, Norway join the team as full-time Sports Consultants.

David Welsh comes from a soccer background in Scotland and earned a scholarship at Barton College in NCAA D2 in North Carolina. Kristine Kloda recently won the NAIA National Golf Championship with Keiser University.

– We’ve interviewed many candidates in the last months and getting David and Kristine on board is huge for us. They will add to our culture, have already brought with them great new ideas and they will take care of their student-athletes in a fantastic way, said Kim Moe Krohn, COO at College Scholarships USA. David will join our Team UK and work a lot with our soccer players and a few other sports, while Kristine joins our golf department working predominantly with our talented golfers.

«The Kristine Kloda File»

Kristine Kloda, a former CSUSA student-athlete, spent four years at Keiser University, playing NAIA-level golf in West Palm Beach, Florida. During her time at Keiser, she was a part of the team that won two Conference championships and a National Championship her senior year. Kristine also performed well in the classroom and graduated with a 3.8 GPA and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

During her four years as a Keiser University Seahawk, Kristine went on to earn WGCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors three out of four years, as well as being named as a part of the All-Conference and All-American team her freshman and senior years.

– Deciding to attend an American university is the best decision I ever made. I feel both privileged and thankful that I had the opportunity to spend four years playing golf on some of the best courses in the world at Keiser University, while at the same time being able to pursue my academic ambitions. I do not think there is anywhere else I would have been able to combine both athletics and academics to this degree. To work with giving student-athletes the same opportunity is just fantastic, said Kloda.

He went on to achieve a 2:1 in his BA (Hons) in Sport and Management. He continued to play a high level of football, representing semi-professional sides Dundee North End and Dunbar United.

David has worked in numerous roles since graduating in 2015, including roles within hospitality and supervision, golf caddying, and back-office customer service management for H&M with strong results within his team. Prior to joining Team CSUSA, David has worked as a scout and Talent Management Consultant within the college sports recruiting industry, having assisted over 50 student-athletes and their families through their college recruitment process.

– The year I spent in the US at Barton College was undoubtedly crucial in my development as I picked up vital life skills and independence that shaped me into the person I am today. Therefore, I am thrilled to be able to continue working in the college sports recruiting industry with CSUSA, helping clients and their families on their journey to a US university, said Welsh.
