Former Saint Leo University student-athlete Jemma White brings a wealth of experience to our team of Sports Consultants. She is based in Bradford, is part of our Team UK, and works primarily with our soccer players.
Jemma White started her college career at Saint Leo University in Florida, joining the reigning NCAA D2 Sunshine state conference champions in her freshman year. After picking up Rookie of the Year honors in 2011, Jemma then went on to play a key role for the Lions in her Junior & Sophomore year, receiving special mentions alongside Saint Leo’s All-American forward Arielle Kabangu in their dominant 2013 season.
At Saint Leo, Jemma studied sport business management with extracurricular classes for athletic training. Jemma returned to England in 2014 and enrolled at Leeds Beckett University where she continued her studies in Sport & Exercise Science and graduated with 2:1 honors. During her time in Leeds, Jemma signed for football giants Leeds United and continued to play at a semi-professional level alongside her role as a recruitment consultant in Health & Medicine.
In 2016, Jemma made the switch to Nottingham Forest Women where she received Manager’s Player of the Year in the Women’s National Premier League earning an opportunity with her hometown club Sheffield United Women in the Women’s Superleague. A Sheffield United Academy graduate, Jemma had made her way from the u14 level and continued to play at the top level until 2018. Jemma then made the switch back to Leeds United Women where she saw out her playing career until an injury forced early retirement in 2021.
Alongside her football career, Jemma has a wealth of experience in the US college scholarship industry, holding the role of Head of Women’s Soccer for over three years, successfully placing over 150 student-athletes in US colleges, and now is also the Head Coach for Farsley Junior Women FC, perfectly utilising all her experience as a prior student-athlete.
Jemma’s decision to go to the States was made at an early age after following women’s football in the UK and the world-dominant US Women’s national team and their stars. However, Jemma deferred her entry due to a well-recognised military career between the age of 17-21. Jemma used the service of a US recruitment agency and finalised her scholarship to Saint Leo University after numerous offers across NCAA D1, NCAAD2, and the NAIA.
“I was always certain I was going to go to the States at some point. Looking back, I am glad I went a little later as I felt I was in the right mindset to really throw myself into it because it was one of the most challenging and rewarding things I’ve ever done. It is, in my opinion, what everyone should experience if they get the chance. The teammates, the facilities, the competition is so different from anything I’ve had here in the UK, even now it’s worlds apart. If I got the chance to rewind time and do it all over again, there would be no hesitation.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT IN COLLEGE CAREER:
Finishing our 3-day Georgia tournament with an OT goal to secure a winning season in the blistering heat, with everyone going down with cramps and laid on the ground at the final whistle. The bond and the feeling afterward were such a high. I came back to campus with students wearing my name on the back of their school t-shirts!
