He was an NCAA D1 Track and Cross Country athlete for both Lamar and La Salle University, and has completed his Masters in International Business Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He works mainly with our track and field athletes.

Nathan started his career at Lamar University in 2015. Lamar competes in the Southland Conference in the NCAA D1. Nathan in his freshman year medaled in the Indoor and Outdoor Conference championships, achieving a bronze and silver medal in the 800m. His achievements qualified him to represent Great Britain internationally and compete in the 2016 Olympic trials, whilst also ranking inside the top 10 under 23’s in Europe for the 800m.

After transferring to LaSalle University in 2017, a D1 school in Pennsylvania, Nathan achieved 4 gold and 2 silver medals in the Atlantic 10 conference championships. He won back to back 1km indoor titles, back to back 4x800m relay titles, and came second twice with the distance medal relay team. Nathan was also a scoring member in the winning Atlantic 10 cross country team in 2019.

Nathan was also voted Atlantic 10 performer of the week three times, received 5 academic awards including academic all-American and academic all-conference, and graduated with honors in Psychology. Since returning from the US he has continued to compete internationally, recently graduating from his business master’s program in Cardiff.

“I loved my time in the US, it was truly the most incredible experience and I wish it could have gone on for longer. I was nervous when I first committed to going to America but I am so pleased I made the decision, it has changed my life for the better. Living the life of a student-athlete is like being a professional, and you are treated by the university and other students with immensely high regard, after my achievements were shared on the school Instagram account it was like being a celebrity on campus! Without the US I would have never achieved what I went on to do academically or athletically, for this I owe my friends and coaches a lot. I look forward to supporting students on their journey to the US and sharing my expertise. With the right guidance, specifically from CSUSA I know firsthand the college system can transform young people’s lives.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT IN COLLEGE CAREER:

“My best memory was winning the Atlantic 10 Conference championship 1km back to back. To reclaim my gold medal was a rare thing to do in a D1 conference, I worked so hard the whole year and felt really satisfied with what ended up being my final race in the US due to Covid canceling outdoors!”
