Mikko started his tennis career at a young age in Finland, where he played and trained until the age of 12. Mikko had a winning record during his 4 years in college, he claimed Academic All-MAC honors as well as several MAC singles and doubles player of the week.

During Mikko’s college years he also gained valuable work experience during the summers. He worked as a store personnel at Råbytorp Gårdsbutik and also completed an internship for Sport Profiles of Sweden where he managed campaigns for athletes, before joining CSUSA in 2022.

”College wasn’t on my mind until my last year in high school and therefore I didn’t have the time to contact a recruiting company. I completed the college process by myself which is very time-consuming and hard to do without help. If I could change anything in my journey it would be to have someone that guides me through everything and makes sure everything is on schedule. I can honestly say that my time in the US is the best 4 years in my life, all the people I’ve met and my teammates that I can now call my family. It’s hard to describe how much I’ve developed as a person during my time in the US. If I could go back and do it all again I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m looking forward to helping other athletes experience the best time of their life!”
