“Receiving a scholarship in Tennis, gave me the chance to fulfill my dream to play tennis at a very high level whilst getting a good and credited education at the same time. It is an amazing opportunity."
"Coming to America on a tennis scholarship has changed my life, the school and the tennis were brilliant, it has given me so many opportunities and is something I will cherish forever"

Tennis is one of the most difficult sports for progressing to a high level. Even when you overlook the hard work, talent, determination and luck that you need to reach the top, one of the most common reasons for failure is funding.

As most tennis players know and realize, getting to the highest level is expensive. It takes a lot of money to travel, enter the necessary tournaments and getting coached by the best. Without a sponsor this is extremely difficult.

Also it leaves players in a situation where they must devote every ounce of focus and energy to tennis. What then happens after your career? What do you do? Even professional players often do not have the resources to retire after their career.

College Tennis gives tennis players an opportunity to continue their development whilst getting an education. Student-athletes play full-time tennis and compete against universities all across the USA. The level is extremely high and the set-up very professional. The likes of John Isner (ATP) came through the college system before turning professional.

The best part is, because of the magnitude of college sports in the USA, coaches can offer scholarships to cover most if not all the expenses.
