How has your experience as a student-athlete in the US been so far?
The experience has been once in a lifetime. Playing football in some of the facilities I have and seeing some of the places have made my first year been unforgettable.
What’s it like to be a student-athlete in the US?
Being a student-athlete is amazing, playing the sport you love and getting a degree at the end of the four years is something you can’t argue with.
What is your most memorable moment in the sporting arena in your collegiate career?
The most memorable moment so far has to be before the first game we played walking into the stadium and out onto the pitch to be greeted by all of the supporters. Although that happens every game, I will never forget that first time.
Have you improved as a soccer player?
I would say that my overall reading of the game has improved. That’s due to playing with ex-internationals in my team who have the knowledge and are able to effectively pass it on.
What is the best thing about studying and playing sports in the US?
I’d say the best thing about studying in the US is the overall experience. You get to visit so many places and meet people you would never get the chance to if I studied back home in Glasgow. As I said it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and am so glad that I was given the opportunity.
